Student Awards - Best Poster Presentation - 4th MicroSummit 2023 /  by Anatomy SDC

The 4th MICROSUMMIT – International Conference on Infectious Diseases and Antimicrobial Resistance (ICiDAR-2023) in association with Indian Association of Medical Microbiologists (IAMM) Tamilnadu Chapter, was organized by the Department of Microbiology, Saveetha Dental College and Hospitals (SDC), SIMATS. In this grand event I BDS students representing the Department of Anatomy, participated in the scientific poster presentations. In this Linda Justin, Rishita, Thaaniya Lakshmi, Dakshita Sankar and P. B. Karthikeyan received “Best Poster Award”. 

Invited Lecture - Dr. M. Karthik Ganesh - Rashtriya Uchchattar Shiksha Abhiyan - RUSA (National Higher Education Mission) @ University of Madras /  by Anatomy SDC

Rashtriya Uchchattar Shiksha Abhiyan - RUSA (National Higher Education Mission) is a holistic scheme of development for higher education in India initiated in the year 2013 by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Under this prestigious scheme of the Government of India, University of Madras, the Mother University of all old Universities of South India, organized an "Skill Based Internship Pragramme" RUSA 2.0, Phase-III with eminent speakers in the concerned field. Dr. M. Karthik Ganesh, Assistant Professor & Scientist, Department of Anatomy, SDCH was honoured as Guest Speaker on 18th July 2023 at The Department of Anatomy, Dr. A.L.M. PG Institute of Basic Medical Sciences, University of Madras, Taramani Campus, Chennai. He gave his invited lecture entitled "Professional Training in Histology and Histotechniques on Microtomy" and shared his expertise with research scholars and post graduates.

From the Department of Anatomy, I BDS students participated and won Awards in the “CHANTCON - 2023”, an International Hybrid Conference under the Theme EM_OG_I ( Embryo, OG, Infertility) organized by Department of Anatomy, Chettinad Academy of Research and Education in association with UTAR University, Malaysia on 10th- 11th July, 2023. In the different categories of Poster presentation, our I BDS students Ananya Arora - 1st Prize and Chandra Bindu - 2nd Prize at this extravaganza event.

From the Department of Anatomy, I BDS students participated and won Awards in the “CHANTCON - 2023”, an International Hybrid Conference under the Theme EM_OG_I ( Embryo, OG, Infertility) organized by Department of Anatomy, Chettinad Academy of Research and Education in association with UTAR University, Malaysia on 10th- 11th July, 2023. In the different categories of Oral presentation, our I BDS students Yathin - 1st Prize, Anvitha - 1st Prize and Devanshi - 2nd Prize at this extravaganza event.

Student Awards - 1st Intercollegiate Meet PLUS 2023 @ SRMC - Best Poster "2nd Prize" /  by Anatomy SDC

I BDS Students Karthik. R, Tanmay Agarwal, Karthikeyan. P. B and Karanveer Singh has participated and presented their Anatomy Research topic in the Poster Presentation competition in the 1st Intercollegiate Meet PLUS 2023 @ Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute, Chennai and won Best Poster "2nd Prize" competing the Intern Students of several other colleges.

The resource person of the conference is Mr. Harikrishnan, Assistant Professor of Anatomy and In-charge of Plastination Lab, Travancore Medical College, Kollam, Kerala. It had Online Lecture sessions, e-Poster presentations, Collage poster presentations, Animation Video competitions. The best of each session was awarded to motivate their participation.

Centre for Transdisciplinary Research (CFTR), Department of Pharmacology, in association with Society of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (SPER), has conducted an International Conference on "Innovations in Molecular Medicine and Translational Research" (ICMTR-2023), on 18th & 19th April, 2023 at Saveetha Dental College and Hospital, Saveetha Institute of Medical And Technical Sciences (SIMATS), Chennai, India. In the scientific session for Anatomy, first and second year BDS students have participated in Poster Presentation enthusiastically. I BDS Student, Samrudhi Gandhi have won Best e-Poster Award in the competitive poster session.
